"When you get into wrestling you have to realize that your shelf life, so to speak, isnt all that long. In the real world most people start working in their 20s and work until they are 60-65 and have that many years to save for retirement. In wrestling, realistically, you dont make any decent money until youre 30 and unless you crack superstardom youre done, making big money, by the time your 45. This doesnt leave a whole lot of time to invest for your future. We only have maybe 15 years, compared to most peoples 40.You might think that a $100,000 - $200,000 a year salary is good money, but when you take into account road expenses and the tax bracket that puts you in, there isnt a whole lot left over for investing."
