A weekly look at what worked and didn't work on Raw is War by Oliver Postlethwaite

Raw's on in 30 minutes!! This is gonna suck!

What Worked
The Brood vs. the Acolytes wasn't pretty but it was stiff as hell and I dug watching four men beat the paste out of each other.

Mankind and 3H had the best match on Raw.

Paul Wight and Viscera dragged career performances out of each other. The next time someone criticizes the WWF's wrestling, I'm going to show them this match.

Oh, it sure as hell ain't wrestling but Steve Austin as psycho redneck with a heart works for me.

What Didn't Work
Road Dog and Owen Hart had a middling southern stipulation style match that was ok but Jerry Lawler sealed the deal that sent this segment down south of heaven.

The Godfather dragged the Intercontinental title through the mud and into the non-working side for the 2nd week in a row! Way to put your stamp on it!

Ken Shamrock and Bossman had a no rules match that in no way ruled! I'm so fucking funny when pressed for time.

Jarrett and Gunn completed the singles-tag-team matches angle and despite being drenched in southernness it STILL didn't work.
