Hey! This week's review isn't very long!
Hey! I caught the replay of last week's DX segment and it looked wicked GOOD. The Jason Sensation angle this week was pretty good, except Lawler always looks bad when he's kissing ass and he looked even worse by not saving his new best friend from Owen.
The Rock and Owen vs. X-Pac and 3H was good for a WWF match. A year ago I wouldn't have to dumb down all my reviews 'cos the WWF was actually pretty good in the workrate department but now if I don't rate a match within the context of the whole show then nothing would ever work. If you don't believe me just compare any match on Raw all year to Misterio Jr. vs. Guerrera from last week's Thunder. Well, at least the booking was good because it was a smart move to give X-Pac the win over Maivia.
The Outlaws vs. Kane and Mankind was pretty much the same thing both times, decent action with no rhyme or reason. The crowd dug it so it worked on that level. The intros were good. yeah!
The Braw for All began to unravel this week with Bart Gunn vs. Thurman Plugg match. The fighting itself wasn't so bad but the post-match angle killed the realism they were selling for the first two weeks.
See, didn't I tell you that Mero vs. Blackman was better with boxing gloves?
Boy was Kaentai DX vs. TAKA & Too Much ever depressing! The work was fine but there was no heat, no one cared, no one noticed. Why is Vince such a dickwad when it comes to booking the light heavyweights?
Kama vs. Severn was terrible, ugh, I'd be totally down on the Brawl for All right now if it weren't for the promise of Pierre Ouellet vs. Steve Williams next week (I heard Pierre was robbed!). I didn't see the Severn win at all. A tie maybe, a win for Kama maybe but not Severn.
