So tonight begins the annual 24 Hours of Christmas Story marathon on TBS and it's always recommendable.

There's lots of classic aspects to Christmas Story. Namely darren Mcgavin as ralphie's dad who swears his way to a classic performance. His best moments involve a "lamp", swearing, and calling the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Chipmunks.

The parts with Ralphie are fine as well. With the best part being the scene at the department store with a very unmerry Santa. The boy in front of Ralphie on line is also a hoot.

So A Christmas Story is the Best Christmas movie of alltime.

A tie between Scrooged and The Ref for me. Although Lampoon was pretty excellent too.

For a while there, the only Christmas movie my family could agree on was Die Hard :)

Then the whole "It's a Wonderful Life goes into Public Domain" thing happened, NBC started showing it on Christmas Eve, and we watch that.

We've always been a Christmas Vacation household, though I didn't watch it this year for the first time in ages. I never can convince the females in my family that "Die Hard" is a X-mas flick.

BTW, anyone who says "Four Christmases" is anywhere in the same galaxy as Christmas Vacation, check their sanity or blood-alcohol level. That movie sucked. Every joke was cleverly placed in the trailer. Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon have worse chemistry than Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman did in "Eyes Wide Shut" where Kubrick allgedly had to teach Cruise and Kidman how to interact as a couple should.

It's not really a Family Christmas Movie, but I enjoy Bad Santa quite a bit. :)

John Ritter: "I just can't help it. There's something about the guy that makes me uneasy."
Bernie Mac: "Well sure. Santa fucking someone in the ass..."
