Nash is one of the smartest men in wrestling. He contributes just enough in some capacity to make people think he's an asset and thus get rewarded with more money.

The qustion is why would TNA bother punishing him publically? Just don't book him and let his contract expire in a month or two. Big cost savings and he adds nothing to the product.

Actually, Nash adds a lot for the viewer who finds TNA a pain in logic.

Kevin Nash is currently doing a storyline where he and Sting are trying to expose Hogan and Bischoff as evil and Dixie Carter as a puppet. No, seriously. And while they usually have Jeff Jarrett inexplicably cut them off before they start speaking, they have let Kevin Nash talk on ReAction, and it rips apart Hogan and Bischoff in such lovely ways. But as a wrestler, yeah he's useless.

To be honest, I'd like to see Kevin Nash eventually retire to become a Colour Commentator. I think it's a job he was made to have.

Had to link to this post at Cageside Seats. A very good job breaking down bigger issues in TNA than what's being booked.

So the "They" that was The Big TNA Angle Version 99.0 turned out to be Hogan, Bischoff, Jeffey, Abyss and a Jeff Hardy turning on Kurt Angle and RVD. nWo rehash yet again.

"Yippy~!"
-A. Skywalker

One has to give it up to Russo, Eric & Co. knowing how to suck up to Dixie by getting her involved in TV often enough to fluff her ego. Keeps the paychecks coming their way, and she's too stupid to realize that *all* of their Big TNA Plans have failed over the years.

When you take a step back and ponder it a bit, how many of us could put up with a guy or gal like Dixie as our wife/husband knowing that the money would be flowing like water in our direction, and that no matter how much we fucked up, she/he would be too stupid to figure it out and simply love us as unconditionally as a puppy?

I don't think I could do it, no matter how much money was involved, and no matter how nice her personality was. That level of raw stupidity would drive me crazy.

The Impact spoilers for Thursday are Russotastic! We have Hogan blaming Dixie Carter for the heel turn saying she lied and sold him a bill of goods, back to playing his Hollywood character, renaming "They" Team Hogan and saying Abyss was like his son. Jeff Jarrett backing Hogan because Dixie stole his company from him. Flair teasing that the new Four Horsemen will feud with the new nWo again only to end up hugging Hogan. Hardy saying that he was the one who set up RVD for the Abyss nail board massacre. Bischoff asking the new Wolfpack (Sting and Nash) to join the new nWo only for them to both decline. And that's just in the first segment! :-)

Wait there's tons more! Tara laid down for Madison Rayne to hand her the Knockouts title. They restarted the Jarrett is sleeping with Kurt's ex wife angle, presumably to explain why his retirement stip won't be upheld, complete with security attacking and handcuffing Angle, Jarrett joining in and announcer Taz making the save. Abyss bloodied up Samoa Joe with a ring bell. Pope lost a handicap match to the whole of Fortune. A celebrity angle where Jwoww had a pull apart with Cookie. Finally, Hardy laid out both RVD and Mr Anderson with chair shots to cause a no contest in a match to determine their number one contender.

After all, such reset shows that burnt through six months worth of angles in one show worked so well for Vince Russo in the past!

This segment needs to be watched by all wrestling fans young and old to see quite possibly the worst forty minutes of a wrestling program... of all time.

Really, Nash and Sting almost saved it for me because they basically said, "We're not gonna be around for this company to go bankrupt" and TNA and legitimately not going to use Sting and Nash anymore.

In other comments from Wade:

Keller's TNA Genesis PPV Report

Quote:
-Christy interviewed Kurt Angle who flat-out has never looked more pilled up on TV than that. I hope I'm just reading into things based on his well-known history of issues in that area or maybe it's some sort of angle that he drugged by Jarrett an hour earlier, but that was scary to watch. He sounded shaky like he had to deliver bad news about a death in the family to someone on the phone and like he was doing everything he could to enunciate what he saying and get through it. He said in response to Jarrett saying he's not in shape, "If Jeff Jarrett wants to know what kind of shape I'm in, why doesn't he ask his wife." He said he's going to have a great time kicking Jarrett's ass.

7 -- JEFF JARRETT vs. KURT ANGLE

Bell at 10:02 p.m. - Round One: Angle told team Team Jarrett that if any of them get in his face, he will break their neck. I wonder if the stops were created to cover for Angle not being in any condition to perform a full-fledged MMA match with strikes. Angle lay on his back at the start and challenged Jarrett to come after him. Jarrett yelled at him to get up. He just sat there as the clock counted to to under 30 seconds in the first round with no contact. Angle finally got Jarrett in his grip and took him to the mat with a rear naked choke in the final five seconds. Jarrett appeared to be saved by the bell. They showed Team Jarrett giving Jeff encouragement, saying Angle has been sitting on the couch for six months.

Round Two: Angle stuck his left leg out and invited Jarrett to shoot in for a single leg takedown. Jarrett shot in, but Angle easily blocked him and then took him down into a keylock. When Jarrett got in the ropes, Angle released. Angle got Jarrett in a cross armbreaker. He released it and went for an anklelock instead, but again Jarrett was saved by the bell. Tenay said, "This isn't an exhibition, this is a clinic." Jarrett spit at Angle after the round ended.

Round Three: Angle charged at Jarrett at the start of the third round. Taz wondered what Team Jarrett rubbed onto Jarrett's arm. Jarrett got it in Angle's eyes and it staggered Angle. Taz wondered if it was a powerful ointment that burns eyes. Angle came up bleeding from the forehead. Jarrett pinched away at his forehead. The bell rang and the ref determined he couldn't continue. Team Jarrett entered the ring as blood dripped from Angle's forehead.

Tenay said the ref threw it out because it was no longer an MMA exhibition. That looked like Jarrett doing whatever he could to walk Angle through a very limited match. The camera zoomed in on blood dripping from Angle's forehead to an excessive degree. Jarrett pounded on Angle's forehead and then claimed he was retiring him. That's probably a good idea after this sad display by Angle. This whole thing just felt like a low point in TNA history and for Angle. A sad scene.

WINNER: No contest.

STAR RATING: Not applicable. I don't know what that was, but it wasn't pleasant or entertaining given the apparent circumstances.

Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Jarrett in an MMA exhibition

Kurt said if Jeff Jarrett wanted to know what kind of shape he's in, he should ask his wife.

Match was nothing. First round Jarrett ran away but was caught in a choke as time ran out. Second round saw Angle get Jarrett in a million submissions, then let everyone go. They said he was treating it like an exhibition but since it was supposedly for $100,000 this made no sense. Angle had the ankle lock on at the end of the round. Between rounds the corner men put something on Jarrett's gloves and he rubbed them in Angle's eyes. Angle was blinded and then ended up all bloody and the bell rang so Kurt won via DQ. People were into this a lot. It was more like a good TV angle to build a match than a PPV match that you pay for.

Jarrett then said he's retiring his MMA career undefeated. Guess who is coiming to the retirement party, all three of us, me you and you know who else. He announced his retirement party on Impact on Thursday night. I guess the idea is Karen shows up on TV tomorrow.

Jeez, just when you think Kurt Angle can't fall any farther, he has.

If anyone made it clear he wants to die in the wrestling ring, it's Angle.
