A whole variety of names being courted including former Knicks coach Jeff Van Gundy.

Stackhouse might be the most intriguing name there, after Van Gundy. He's done wonders for the Raptors franchise.

I would also want to see Mike Miller (not the former player) interviewed. He coached the Westchester Knicks to the best record in the G-League.

And its David Fizdale:

So far, this is a good hire. But time will tell if there's another incident like the one he had with Marc Gasol. It is a good sign that he's going to meet and sell his teachings to Porzingis.

And now Mark Jackson can continue to be the foil to Jeff Van Gundy.

I was hoping they would pick Mark Jackson, both for the entertainment value and to get him off my TV for the big games.

There's talk of them putting out the red carpet for Bron this offseason, due to his Fizdale connection. Still that doubtful at best.

Something that's not going to be in the favor of the Knicks, long-term, is that their division is probably going to be the toughest division in the NBA. With Boston and Philly having at least two or three franchise cornerstones for at least the nest decade. Toronto will always be in the mix. And the Brooklyn Nets having a very underrated coach and front office. Plus with Porzingis out for the first few months of next season, its going to be a very long road for them. But having a well-regarded coach (for most players at least) is a good start to perhaps get some players to buy in to the process of the Knicks. Granted a manageable salary cap that is.

Kyrie's name has been linked to the Knicks:

I've read some theories that if for some reason Bron goes to the Celtics, Kyrie would go to the Knicks, and Prince Frank would go to the Cavs.

Knicks went with Kevin Knox in the 1st round. Crowd didn't seem to like it, hoping they'd draft Michael Porter who went down the board because of injury concerns.

time will tell if he'll be like Porzingis who was also booed by the fans only to change their viewpoint with his play.

Well this is mighty interesting. If true, of course. The next step would be finding someone with a very good track record and/or someone who's very passionated about changing the culture of the Knicks. That's another big challenge for another day.
