I wouldn't be spending all my money on one FA. I would spread it around & try to pick three or four guys who can play. How many years have we waisted on this team?---Yohe

Interesting video from last night:

Should make Kuzma the focal point of the team.

Lakers Twitter was not at all happy with Rondo sitting in the courtside seats, away from his teammates towards the end of today's game.

The writing is slowly on the wall as Bron will be on a minutes restriction and also sit out the 2nd game of back-to-backs.

Brandon Ingram is out for the rest of the year due to arm injury.

And there's talk Lonzo will not play this year as well.

What a disappointing season.

Lonzo officially out.

Elsewhere, the Ingram injury sounds very serious:

Hope he fully recovers.

with their roster depleted, they signed last year's folk hero Andre Ingram to a 10-day contract.

Looks like the Luke Side is starting to leak out, indicating he wanted Lopez and Randle back. Lopez is pretty obvious in hindsight, and it does sound like he would have played for a pretty modest contract. Randle was a cap space move, and we need to be honest that while putting up all those numbers in NOLA, they are as bad a team as the Lakers despite having Randle and two players better than Randle. So... I don't think thing that one is a great beach for Team Luke to die on, since Randle wasn't signing with us for what he signed with NOLA, or for just one year.

On the other hand, everyone knew that Rondo, Beasley and Lance were fucked up signings. Mcgee as a back up / insurance to Lopez would have been fine since it was cheap. And rather than Rondo and Lopez, they needed a pair of shooters / defenders.

Chance of getting to "10th" heading into the lotto:

.191 New York Knicks (13-55)
.232 Phoenix Suns (16-53)
.246 Cleveland Cavaliers (17-52)
.275 Chicago Bulls (19-50)
.348 Atlanta Hawks (24-45)
.397 Dallas Mavericks (27-41)
.406 Memphis Grizzlies (28-41)
.426 Washington Wizards (29-39)
.429 New Orleans Pelicans (30-40)
.448 Charlotte Hornets (30-37)
.456 Los Angeles Lakers (31-37)
.457 Orlando Magic (32-38)
.464 Minnesota Timberwolves (32-37)
.493 Sacramento Kings (33-34)

Half came back of the Hornets. Pelicans and Wizzzzz would be more of a lift.

Chance of ending up in the Top 4 based on where you are heading into the Lotto:

.521 1st
.521 2nd
.521 3rd
.481 4th
.421 5th
.372 6th
.319 7th
.262 8th
.202 9th
.139 10th
.094 11th
.072 12th
.047 13th
.024 14th

3 times better chance of getting a Top 4 pick from the 10th slot than the 13th.

Not suggesting tanking. But we don't need a lot of heroes down the stretch. A Top 4 draft pick would be as valuable of a trade piece as any of The Kids.

Randle had 45 last night & is better than anyone there going to get as a FA. They let Lou Williams get away too. Williams is the best player on the clips this year and their leader. Has scored more points off the bench than anyone in history. They dumped him. Lopez is the starting center on the team with the best record in the league. And the Lakers are a joke. Clippers rebuild in less than one year....how many years have we been working at it. Magic hasn't a clue & is as bad as he was as a coach & announcer.--Yohe

Randle did that for a team that lost its 5th straight game. They then lost the following night to PHX for their 6th straight loss.

Despite Randle having Davis, Randle and 67 games of Jrue Holiday, they are *worse* than the Lakers.

Randle does not help teams win basketball games. He puts up "numbers" but is a shitty defensive player and on offense doesn't help spread the floor. Some stupid team is going to overpay for his 21-9, and they are going to be either as shitty as the Lakers and Pelicans have been in recent years, or they will be a team that never contends for a Title.

* * * * *

Terrible choke today against the Knicks. We've dropped behind the Hornets. Chance to fall further. It would be nice if Randle's numbers helped the Pelicans win some games here as it would give us more ping pong balls in the Lotto. Problem is that we're reaching our "lower floor" as the Pelicans, Wizzzzzz and Grizzzzzzzz all suck hard. We have games against the Wiz & Hornets at home and the Pelicans on the road. Our last five games are all against playoff teams, most of whom may be trying to improve their slots.

Interesting potential silver lining in a horrid season.

Randle's signed through next year I believe. They could've won last night too, if not for some questionable coaching by Gentry in the last few seconds. And I mean questionable.

Knicks legend Walt Clyde Frazier really spoke his mind on Bron today:

This does have some ironic merits to this.

well on the plus side, Javale McGee had a career night last night. 33 Points.

I don't think he sticks around though. Depends on who they can snag to a long-term deal.
