I'm okay with this shit talking. Both teams are going to have to back up that they are better. It's going to make the season fun.

Well, the Clippers-Lakers rivalry will be the centerpiece of the Christmas games this year. Should be very very fun.

Terrible terrible news, as Boogie Cousins tore his ACL. He's probably going to be done for next year. Poor guy.

Lakers have to hope Kuz doesn't get hurt in the upcoming World Cup. No wonder many players have bowed out of competing.

This means:

(i) Anthony Davis will play more at the #5 than the Lakers planned

(ii) McGee likely starts, then heads to the bench while AD moves over

(iii) we likely will poke around the Left Over FA market for some Body to fill the roster spot and add depth when/if McGee gets hurt

(iv) we will likely also look at the trade market when you can start trading free agent signings (December if I recall)

(v) wasted roster space and cap space on Boogie

Pretty predictable that "some shit" would happen with Boogie. On some level it's best to get it out of the way now and go from here. Having it happen later could have fucked up the season while having little time to adjust.

I would think that most of the Lakers would want nothing to do with Howard, including the front office. If he signs, it's because Bron wanted him to... which wouldn't be a good sign.

McGee is going to start. AD is going to play a lot of minutes at C, despite what is being said. They just need a back up for when McGee goes down, which will happen.

Kenneth Faried isn't a bad choice. He played a decent amount of C for the Rockets last year when Capela went down, and was pretty decent. He's undersized as a C, both that means AD would take up C as needed even if Faried was the "center". Played well in the pick and roll with Harden as he rolls to the hoop well. You also know he will play hard.

I wouldn't mind Nene for the bench, though he will get hurt a bunch and isn't young. But a smart vet who does a lot of little things well on offense.

Two more guys who will get injured. A guy without a major name would be better.--Yohe

As if signing Howard isn't an embarrassment enough:

How good is this team going to be shooting free throws? I hope James has been working on that during the off season. They'll need to take Howard out once they start fouling him. Also he can't play late in games. He is a choke, and that will never change. Is there anyone else who can hit FT? Davis is Ok...right?

I think we're going to find out if god is a Laker Fan.....because we got to put all of this together real fast & we need someone good at creating. I remember god liking the Kobe/Shaq teams. There was at least two miracles in there.---Yohe
