Watched this yesterday via On Demand. Like most of the first episodes of each season, this was just packed with getting numerous storylines started. I am very excited that they are going to finally track down the money trail from the Barksdales (right before the Election, which makes it extra interesting). The new kids are already very awesome and should provide more than adequate replacements for Avon, Stringer, etc. Almost too many things to discuss since it doesn't actually premiere until next Sunday but wanted to get some kind of talk going for those who are checking it out early.

I liked what I saw so far. I'm still trying to piece together what Marlo's muscle is doing, although I think I've come to the conclusion what's happening and what's going to happen.

I'm a bit afraid that they are going to make a storyline where they are blaming the school system and the school system can blame the poverty levels. But I believe it goes far deeper than that and just pumping more money into the schools is far from the solution.

Probably a season where it doesn't have a character like Stringer, where they can focus on the ingenius nature of his character.....and probably not nearly as fun as the dock workers were, but it seems like more or less a study of kids before they get caught up in the drug game.

Still, looks like another fine season.
