The Mavs aren't the same team they were last year.

Lin - overrated.

Of course he's overrated. That doesn't mean it's not a good story and makes the Knicks interesting in a season where they would have been otherwise irrelevant.

How could that even be possible? He wasn't even rated two weeks ago. The Knicks are 7-1 with him starting and he leads the league in scoring since then.

How the fuck could that be overrated? He's averaged 25 points-9.5 assists-2.3 steals as a starter on 50.5-percent shooting, including 38.5 from beyond the arc.

Saying it won't last is logical, but to say his impact has been overrated is asinine. You're just channeling a certain Mr. Jewett.

;)

Melo returned tonight against the Nets. Coincinetally or not, Knicks lose to the Nets of all teams. Lin did have 21 points but they didnt seem to have the same spark that they were mostly successful with in the past couple of weeks.

The Knicks are interesting? They're below .500, aka still irrelevant!

Lin = turnover machine, at least he kept it under 5 tonight (3). And yes, Lin has had very little impact, the NBA is looking for a reach around story, and they've got one in Lin.

It's not your team Lin, it's Melo and Amare's team. Know your role.

Heat with a 14 point win over the Knicks. Lin was pretty much a nonfactor with just 8 points.

Not much else to say but Novak and Smith were bright spots as they continue to make a case for big game-winners down the line.

And the Heat have won 8 straight. 8 straight and all of them have been double digit wins too.

I think this was the worst loss to date this year for the Knicks. They came back from a few big deficits and overcame one of Lin's worst games as a starter to make it an overtime game. But the Celts led by Rondo and Pierce won the game. Rondo had an insane statline with 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 20 assists. He was the main difference here and with the Celts seemingly back in the playoff hunt, I dont think we'll see a Rondo trade any time soon.

Also I didnt like the end of regulation with a Melo missed shot. This is what I feared after Lin took over, and the rest of the team improved. Melo getting the final shot in. They could've had one of the 3 point shooters get the final shot.

really disappointing loss.

Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks failing chemistry

Lin is overrated... but Melo isn't helping.

I think Denver's only regret in trading Melo is that they didn't do it a year earlier when they could have bagged more.

Lin is a good quality backup guard, nothing wrong with that. Had he been on the Jazz or the Bucks, would we really be hearing that much of him?

Still too early to tell regarding Lin, but it was a very magical week a month ago. even if it was against the dregs of the League.

Not so magical was another blowout loss. This time to the Spurs. They continue to struggle after the return of Melo.

It also didnt help that Tyson Chandler was out. I still think he's one of the most underrated of the Knicks this year.

Will the Knicks hang a banner for that magic week in the Garden's rafters?

6 straight losses after tonights loss to the Bulls (and 6 straight losses since ticket prices were increased for next year). And they're tied with the Bucks for 8th place in the playoff standings. They did play better than they've had for the most part of the past week but still Rose was too much for them.

I still cant see the Knicks making a big move come trade deadline day. Player move that is.

Dantoni=the scape goat?

makes some sense. I dont see, as much as I would want it to happen, Phil taking over.

And now here's an article about Melo wanting out?:

Melo or Dantoni

One of the more interesting things in that article is that Melo enjoys Lin. And wants a duo of Melo/Lin. I cant see Melo being traded but stranger things have happened.[/quote]
