So Goddamn sad. One of the best to ever step foot in any sport.

The worst thing about this is his kids. He was one of the most amazing fathers. His daughter seems poised to be in the WNBA.

Just utterly shocked

TMZ is now reporting that one of Kobe's daughters was on the helicopter with him.

I have no words.

Inside the NBA, on TNT, spent their entire pregame hour on Kobe. Everyone was very emotional with their tributes.

Poor Shaq. Lost so many of his loved ones. He did reveal the last time he spoke to Kobe was before his final game in 2016. That was mighty interesting. There were talks of their beef being rekindled but probably bogus reports. He did interact with the next generation of O'Neals though.

Jerry West looked like he lost one of his immediate family. So so sad. He mentioned that Kobe was thinking of going to the Clippers when he was a free agent, but Jerry talked him out of it because he didnt want him signing with Sterling.

I've seen three different interviews with Jerry, including that one. He is just devastated by this.

Kobe's memorial service ended a few minutes ago. Kimmel was great as the host etc.

Very surprising appearance by Vanessa Bryant to give speeches on Kobe and Gigi. Very strong woman.

A very emotional Michael Jordan also made a surprise appearance. Perhaps one of the most memorable moments of the whole ceremony was when he joked about how there will be lots more of the famous Crying Jordan memes now. A great Kobe ancetote was when he mentioned that Kobe would text him at 2 AM, just shooting the breeze. The dedication he has to improving was insane. Lot of great stories like that about him today. Just shows no one has more mamba mentality than him.
