Why did you guys stick with the "eighties" tag, insted of just using "history" or something, while you had the chance?--Yohe |

We wanted to be different - "Classic" forums are kind of common.
We also wanted to pull in something from the old boards.
By the way, Steve - Hobbie wants to do King of Chicken either this Sunday or next Sunday. What's good for you?

It's easy to change the name of a forum and to create new forums, so nothing is set in stone at this point. "Classics" was trademarked by Mark Nulty's Tape Emporium. "History" sounds a bit stodgy, like Hisa's Puroresu Mausoleum, the site with a dead guy on the splash screen.
Speaking of which... John Tenta died.

Don't forget "Lou Thesz Memorial", which is involved in a trademark dispute between WrestlingClassic (Board), CAC (phony award) and WON (award ironically "supported" by a piece from Yohe that was smacked in that very publication). So we had to pass on that one. ;)
